BJ Shannon, Partner, Berliner Corcoran & Rowe LLP

BJ Shannon is a seasoned international trade attorney with more than 20 years of experience advising companies on U.S. customs and import regulatory matters. Drawing on both in-house and private practice experience, she provides practical, business-focused counsel on tariff classification, customs valuation, country of origin, free trade agreements, duty mitigation strategies, and Customs compliance. She regularly assists clients in navigating complex trade remedy tariffs, including Section 301, Section 232, and IEEPA measures, as well as identifying opportunities for duty recovery and tariff savings.

BJ has extensive experience representing importers before U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), the Department of Commerce (DOC), the International Trade Commission (ITC), the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR), and the U.S. Court of International Trade. She advises clients on audits, prior disclosures, protests, penalties, UFLPA compliance, supply chain due diligence, and customs enforcement matters across a broad range of industries. A frequent speaker at trade conferences and industry events, BJ is recognized for helping organizations build effective import compliance programs while navigating today’s rapidly evolving global trade environment.
