Russia/Ukraine Economic Sanctions Update

Legal, Policy, and Practical Perspectives

On March 6, 2014, the United States, EU, and other countries began to impose sanctions against Russia in the wake of events in Ukraine and Crimea. Additional rounds of sanctions of various types have been imposed since, leading to an extremely complex set of multilateral prohibitions over the past three years.

This “brown-bag” seminar/webinar will focus on how industry has adapted to these sanctions over the past three years, and attempt to look forward to the future of the sanctions. It is intended primarily for industry compliance personnel, lawyers, and academics.

Key topics will include:

  • Overview of Current Status of US and EU Sanctions, Including Cyber Sanctions
  • Assessment of Impact of Sanctions on Industry
  • Compliance Strategies for Industry in the New Normal of Russia Sanctions
  • Impact of Sanctions on Cross-Border Transactions
  • Potential Changes to Sanctions
