“Complying with U.S. Export Controls”

 Tuesday, September 12 & Wednesday, September 13, 2017

Milpitas, California

The two-day program is led by BIS professional counseling staff and provides an in-depth examination of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).  The program will cover the information exporters need to comply with U.S. export control requirements on commercial goods, focusing on:

  • Recognizing which items and activities are subject to the EAR
  • Identifying the Export Control Classification Number (ECCN) for an item
  • Determining export and reexport licensing requirements
  • Understanding when you can export or reexport without applying for a license
  • Complying with export clearance procedures and recordkeeping requirements
  • Applying these concepts through an Export Compliance Program (ECP)

Presenters will conduct “hands-on” exercises to prepare you to apply the EAR to your company’s export activities.  This program is well suited for those who need a comprehensive understanding of their obligations under the EAR.
