The Senior Manager of Global Trade Operations is responsible for implementing and executing trade processes to enable trade policy compliance across the enterprise.  Your role will be the lead interface for all HQ functions and internal stakeholders on trade operations matters.  A high focus on customer service and the ability to influence is required.

This role will report to the Director of Global Transportation & Trade Operations and will be located in our Great Oaks Campus (HQ) in San Jose, CA.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Global Trade systems, (GTM cloud) is preferred
  • Working experience and demonstrated sensitivity to various cultures, ideally multi-lingual
  • Experience assessing export and import compliance processes, procedures, and resources; providing recommendations; and developing policies and procedures
  • Experience providing export control and customs (import) classification advice and counseling
  • Experience with EAR; experience conducting audits, and assessments; experience navigating the relationships between various government agencies responsible for export control laws and regulations
  • Ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects involving diverse stakeholder groups to drive trade compliance
  • General knowledge of the legal and regulatory export environment
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and verbal skills
  • Bachelor’s degree required and LCB will be considered a definite plus
  • Expertise and hands-on knowledge of US, Japanese, and EU import and export regulations
  • Familiarity and knowledge of regional regulations such as Thailand, Malaysia, Hong Kong, China, and India
  • Must have 15 years of trade compliance/operations experience (preferably in high tech/semiconductors), with a minimum of 5 years in a management position, global experience is preferred

  • Responsibilities: Responsible for a team of managers, dedicated professionals as well as supplier contractors on a global basis.
  • Will be required to travel.
  • Will need to mentor direct reports and keep the team on task
  • Plan, organize staffing effectively to achieve results and improve operations
  • The setting of objectives to align with and meet corporate targets
  • Evaluate and assess systems, procedures, policies, and cost controls

  • Works with internal and external partners to conduct global trade compliance assessments on a routine basis to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures; conducts internal audits
