We are seeking a responsible, hardworking, detail-oriented manager to lead our Imports Team. The ideal candidate is hands-on and will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the import department, including operations and customs brokerage work. We are looking for an Import Operations Manager that can handle a shipment from A-Z. With the ability to work with agents on routing options, negotiate with steamship lines and co-loaders, and finalize quotes for clients. As a full-service freight forwarder, cargo moves either air, ocean, or road, including clearance and delivery. At the heart of the position, you will be responsible for on-time and accurate deliveries, customer satisfaction, and ensuring a safe work and productive environment. You will work hand and hand with the Director of Compliance to ensure all customs and regulatory requirements are being met.

A strong candidate will contribute to the high quality of Priority Worldwide’s team, and as result, gain much respect from within the company and abroad. Candidates must be accommodating to diverse cultures and willing to work with people that may possess few English-speaking skills. A friendly-professional attitude and teamwork are essential to success in this role.



  • 5-7 years of experience handling international logistics
  • Experience in import logistics and global import operations
  • Direct Import Processes and Supply Chain Management
  • Thorough knowledge of shipping regulations and policies
  • Experience in a supervisory role leading and developing a team
  • Well-versed in customs regulations, tariffs, and classifications
  • Experience with A-Z shipments (origin to destination)
  • An associate degree is required. College Degree is preferred
  • Detail-oriented and sense of urgency
  • Complex problem solver and critical thinking; emotional intelligence
  • High level of flexibility, self-reliance, and dependability
  • Strong computer skills which include efficient use of windows, MS Office, MAC OSX, Adobe, Cargowise EDI, etc.
