What we need to see:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in trade compliance in a high-tech environment.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP / Global Trade System solutions (GTS) Compliance Management and Customs Management.
  • In-depth working knowledge of US export compliance processes, policies, and controls including CFR 15, (EAR), US CCL.
  • Familiarity with the HTSUS, Schedule B, and US CFR 19 is preferred.
  • Familiar with 2020 International Commercial Terms (INCOTERMS), CCL categories 3, 4, and 5, and technology transfer a plus.
  • Ability to conduct license determination and tariff application on a transactional basis.
  • Fast learner with strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability to identify and eliminate compliance risk and exposure.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work in a dynamic and complex environment to execute the day-to-day activities effectively and independently with minimal supervision with strong communication (verbal and written) and time management skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Legal, Sales, Operations, Logistics, Traffic, Engineering, Tax / Finance, and IT departments to achieve our business and compliance objectives.



Responsibilities include applying US export and import regulations to assist our overall trade compliance function. Specific functions will include supporting both import functions (customs clearance, audits, classification, valuation) and export (screening resolution, MEU diligence, ECCN determination) to help support and back up multiple areas. Growth in support of other regions around the world is available in support of operations across all regions in which NVIDIA does business.

What you’ll be doing:

  • We utilize SAP and the GTS system so you will be supporting activities in this system including both processing and minor configuration changes.
  • Monitor daily shipment orders to ensure inbound cross-border transactions meet global regulatory requirements.
  • Support the product classification of NVIDIA parts in terms of both HTS and ECCN.
  • Help develop and optimize processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Support other functional groups including Corp Shipping / receiving, regional Trade Compliance teams, WW Logistics, Engineering, and Sales/Marketing departments, and external customers to support import and export processes.
  • Work with our export team to understand and improve our diligence process and tools related to restrictions on military end-use and military end-users.
  • Perform research and make determinations on the status of accounts flagged for screening.
  • Work with worldwide teams for diligence assistance and to ensure timely support.
  • Review international ship requests and approve manual shipping documents to meet compliance with local regulations. Ensure compliance with export regulations and export license requirements for shipments from a local point of departure.
  • Work closely with our corporate shipping departments to drive the efficient and compliant processing of shipments.
  • Conduct post-entry audits of customs-related documents for accuracy and work with designated Brokers to amend discrepancies.
