Looking for a candidate with export compliance experience with ongoing knowledge in this field.

With some supervision and direction, this position will be responsible for the completion of day-to-day export activities and documentation for all international shipments leaving TLGA. The Export Administrator is able to perform most routine day-to-day tasks without supervision. Responsibilities also include basic knowledge of the U.S. Department of Commerce Export Administration Regulations. The Export Administrator maintains good communication with Internal and External Customers, Internal and External Logistics and Warehousing, Shipping, Immediate Supervisor and Management, to assure procedures operate within the framework of organizational goals and objectives. The Export Administrator must have the ability to prepare timely and accurate documentation for export compliance and ensure the accuracy of export compliance activities. Must have the ability to work well under pressure, be able to react to high volume, fast-paced and short turn-around time, and customer and management requests. Must be a quick learner and grasp the knowledge of unique in-house computer systems and programs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years Export Logistics Experience
  • Basic knowledge of the U.S. Government Export rules and regulations
  • Must have a working knowledge of Transportation and Logistics as it relates to filling out International Documentation (AWB, BOL, AES, SLI, etc.) 5241 California Ave, Suite 250,

  • Additional knowledge of including anti-boycott regulations, sanctions administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and International Traffic In Arms Regulations administered by the Department of State Directorate of Defense Trade Controls
  • Must have a working knowledge of Transportation and Logistics as it relates to filling out International Documentation (AWB, BOL, AES, SLI, etc.)
  • Intermediate computer skills with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), QuestaWeb, Yantra, and Oracle are a plus
  • Excellent written and oral skills required
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external contacts is a requirement
  • Exceptional organizational and follow-up skills are essential

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform ECCN classifications of hi-tech commodities
  • Responsible for the daily preparation of international transport documents for all international shipments
  • Perform denied party screening of business partners
  • Review and process export control assurance forms
  • Maintains excellent relationships with multiple freight forwarders
  • Must have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Works closely with management and reports problems/suggestions in a timely manner
  • Performs other duties as assigned
