12th Annual Export Control Forum: A Compliance Symposium
February 21-22, 2017

Santa Clara, CA

This year’s Export Control Forum is a specialized program focused on export compliance. This one and one-half day event will feature experts from the principal export control agencies to include the Bureau of Industry and Security; the Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls; the Department of Treasury, Office of Foreign Assets Control; and the Census Bureau.

The Compliance Symposium will unveil to the business community the latest initiatives underway in export compliance and feature new material and instruction on the elements of an effective export compliance program.

As in years past, the Forum will include a networking opportunity at the close of the first day, where participants may interact with the speakers and other attendees in a more congenial environment.

The exhibit hall will be open during the entire Forum on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 from 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Wednesday, February 22, 2017 from 7:30 a.m. – noon.

Registration and continental breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m. The program begins at 8:30 a.m. in the California ballroom.

Registration Fee:
The registration fee for BIS Forum 2017 is $695 and includes breakfasts and lunch. It also includes a networking opportunity to meet the speakers on Tuesday, February 21, 2017, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.

Online registration is required regardless of payment method. You may pay by credit card (M/C, VISA, and American Express) or by check. Checks should be made payable to Professional Association of Exporters and Importers (PAEI).

All checks must be received by PAEI on or before Monday, January 30, 2017. Checks must be sent to PAEI, PO Box 712743, San Jose, CA. 95161-2743. Tax ID No. 680117035.
Refund/Cancellation Policy: A refund, less a $50 administrative charge, is available for cancellations made on or before Monday, January 30, 2017. No refunds are available after this date.
Cancellation requests must be made by email to paeiadmin@paei.org

Registrations made after January 30, 2017 will be charged a $50 administrative fee.

Transferring Your Registration Authorization: If you would like to transfer your registration to someone else in your organization, you must receive prior approval from PAEI. Transfer requests must be made by email to paeiadmin@paei.org on or before Monday, January 30, 2017. Please put “Registration Code Transfer Request” in the subject line along with the new contact information, including email address. PAEI will then send an email confirmation to both you and the new registrant with registration instructions. Registrations may NOT be transferred outside of your organization. Registrations may NOT be resold.

Marriot Reservations
A limited number of guest rooms are available at a reduced rate of $229 per night through January 31, 2017, based on availability. Room fees will increase to Marriott’s regular pricing per room
Make reservations early!
The Marriott requires advanced notice of any special meals. If you require a Vegetarian/Vegan/Gluten Free meal, it must be “checked” on the registration form at the time of your registration. Special meals cannot be ordered after January 30, 2017.

MCLE Credit: The Western Regional Office of the Department of commerce Bureau of Industry and Security is a State Bar of California approved MCLE provider. The amount of credit varies with the length of the seminar.
