|Trade Compliance and Quality Specialist
| A Trade Compliance and Quality Specialist responsibilities are to work with management and colleagues to ensure compliance and quality compliance for the Livingston International Global Trade Management Operation within Germany and the EMEA Region. This position will interact with team members, internal operations, and external contacts to provide audit, review, guidance, and expertise with regards to trade compliance and quality matters to achieve a compliant, efficient, and effective service offering.
The candidate should have experience and subject matter expertise in quality concepts to:
Perform process interviews with internal Operations as well as with external client service providers as required.
Review and analyze transaction samples for compliance to applicable standards, regulations, and client requirements.
Record and report the audit results to Operations management and external clients.
Maintain, publish and present metrics and analysis as part of a Quality Operating System.
Lead and/or manage corrective and preventive actions needed based on audits and identified service failures.
Work with the business to identify process improvements.
Have 5+ years of EU/German customs and trade technical experience.
Possess excellent verbal and written communication (German and English minimum)
Demonstrate positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
Understand and apply quality methodologies: ISO 9001:2000, Six sigma
Be a strong user of the Microsoft Office suite of software.
Travel internationally if required.
Plan, organize, participate in, and lead various Trade Compliance and Quality reviews, investigations and audits.
Analyze, interpret, and manage international trade data, such as the Harmonized Tariff System, European Union and German
Customs rules and regulations, trade documentation, and export and import restrictions.
Report to Trade Compliance and Quality management on the compliance and quality effectiveness of the Operations.
Ensure that any compliance or quality issue is addressed through corrective actions and process improvement actions and
resolved within acceptable timeframes.
Liaise with management to ensure conformance with regulatory requirements.
Contribute to customer satisfaction through positive interaction with the client, responsiveness to requests, attention to
schedules, and high quality work.
Work under the direction of her/his direct managers to resolve issues.
Escalate to direct Trade Compliance Manager any issue that could cause liability or reputational risk.
Support and adhere to quality methodologies by understanding the relevance of current job activities and how they
contribute to the achievement of the quality objectives.
