Trade Operations Supervisor

|
| Manage daily import and export control procedures and ensure reasonable care standards for imported and exported products are maintained. This position will report directly to Director of Global Logistics with a dotted line to the Trade Compliance Manager. |
| Qualifications:
Bachelors and 2-4 years related experience or Master’s and 1-2 years related experience. Extensive knowledge of the US Customs Regulations, HTSUS, EAR, and OFAC is expected. Familiarity with classifying goods for both import and export is required. Candidates should have excellent computer skills, including advanced use of Outlook, SAP, MS Word, MS Access, and MS Excel. |
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
□ Manage Export/Import classifications for Avid products (HTSUS,ECCN,COO) and ensure they are loaded in SAP
□ Maintain and provide the Customs Brokers parts database updates on monthly or as needed basis
□ Communicate to Customs Brokers all additions to value, such as assists, and maintain assist log to cross reference entry numbers with assist purchase orders.
□ Research and assist in implementing and managing cost saving programs such as Duty Drawback
□ Act as a liaison with customs brokers and carriers to resolve problems at all points in transit
□ Ensure compliance with federal and foreign regulations governing the shipment, receipt, and documentation of imported/exported products
□ Maintain and enforce a document retention program.
□ Support the Trade Compliance Manager during internal import and export audits
□ Coordinate with Global Service Organization on adherence to Avid Return Shipping Instructions
□ Perform analysis as required on various aspects of the importation/export process
□ Advise and alert Trade Compliance Manager regarding risks of non compliance
□ Establish and maintain metrics to measure compliance accuracy in the Hayward distribution facility.
□ Assist in the management of the Hayward distribution facility by monitoring adherence to established SOP's, identifying procedures that need to be created.
□ Ensure compliance with AES filing requirements
